The RATAN INDUSTRIES engaged SolarSmiths Energy Private Limited to build this solar photovoltaic system. This project is comprised of a 111.15 kW net metered distributed generation solar photovoltaic system. The solar modules are mounted on a Rooftop with super structure and covers the whole industry. The solar photovoltaic system, in addition to generating approximately 141,994 kWh per year, will serve as an alternate environment friendly electricity saver. This project is engineered and constructed to generate continuous clean solar energy for the next 25 years.

We have been associated with the iron and steel industry since last three decades with setting up of the first electric Induction furnace in the region for manufacturing of Steel ingots in 1989. We diversified into the value added scegment of manufacturing of Ferrous Castings with the commissioning of our foundry unit in 2002. Since then we have strived to supply quality castings to a wide variety of Industries such as automobile, tractors , generators etc.
Keeping in view with the company philosphy of specialisation and value addition, the company setup a machine shop with in 2009.

The sheds at ratan industries were uniquely placed in E-W orientation. SolarSmiths engineering team had to optimise the design for maximum capacity and without a compromise on yield.
