Uma Akash Agro Private Limited was established on 11 May 2004. Uma Cold Storage provides a comprehensive range of traditional and innovative cold storage solutions specific for your needs. They reduced their conventional power consumption by almost 50% by installing Solar PV system. The SolarSmiths worked with their own trained engineers and installers throughout the installation process of the Solar PV system, to reduce the overall energy grid consumption of the business.
As part of the integration, Polycrystalline solar panels were installed, which provide 90 kilowatt (kW) of power. The system has been installed on RCC structure. The utility meter has also been replaced by the bi-directional meter i.e Net meter to allow the factory to export the surplus electricity generated at any instant.
