Project Description

The Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) is the third-largest hydropower capacity in India. It is an organization created with the motive to serve the nation and is engaged in regulating the supply of Water & Power from Bhakra Nangal and Beas Projects to the states of Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh. BBMB maintains the major water reservoirs in the country, such as Bhakra and Pong Dam reservoirs, and operates a 98 Km long water guide system including channels & tunnels.


BBMB Substation Jagadhri engaged with SolarSmiths Energy Private Limited to develop their solar photovoltaic system under the PowerSmith Series. The project is comprised of a 70 KWp net-metered distributed generation solar power system.



Apart from various challenges and obstacles, the Solar Smiths expertise team has successfully completed the project, and the plant is now generating the efficient energy required for its operation.
